Amanda & Josh, along with Josh’s Mom Lisa, took time out of their busy schedules just before the holidays to talk wedding details. They were in the midst of moving into a new home, on top of all the holiday madness, but I know taking a few minutes to talk about their big day put a smile on their face. And getting to see pics of their pup Champ put a huge smile on mine!
I LOVED working with Amanda throughout the planning process. She’s super sweet, organized, and just a genuinely kind person which always makes my job a bit more fun. Amanda and Josh dreamed up an incredible day complete with details that showcased their personalities and love for one another.
It was a beautiful, blue sky day when Amanda and Josh tied the knot at Whiteface Hollow in Tamworth, NH. After a morning being pampered by The Galleria Salon & Day Spa, Amanda and Josh kicked off their celebration with Amanda having a sweet first look with her Dad, followed by an extremely touching ‘no look’ first look between the couple where they exchanged personal vows in private. Mid-afternoon, with the sun glinting off the mountains, Amanda, splendid in a halter lace and tulle gown from Marry & Tux, began her walk towards her handsome groom. Josh’s excited smile was a small glimpse into the love these two share. Their touching and lighthearted exchange of vows, officiated by friend Mark, had guests shedding a few tears of joy and brought a lot of heartfelt laughter. Amanda and Josh said I do and took their first walk as husband and wife amidst massive amounts of cheering from their family and friends.
While guests sipped, snacked, and continued to enjoy the beautiful weather during cocktail hour, David & Desi from Once Like A Spark captured memories of the bride and groom (along with their wedding party and families) in their first moments of wedded bliss. One of the coolest moments for me was watching them pose with a Harley Davidson!
The reception space was a reflection of this fun loving couple – a sign advertising the yummy signature drinks, ‘The Devil’s Grin’ and a ‘Dirty Shirley’ made sure the bartenders stayed busy. Branch & Bloom’s beautiful arrangements featuring blush roses and hydrangeas were the perfect complement to the painted mason jars provided by Amanda & Josh. For a fun and unique guestbook, guests had the opportunity to sign their name on a wooden heart and drop it in a custom glass frame.
Friend Marcus manned the DJ booth and got guests excited as they awaited Amanda and Josh’s introduction to “I Love This Life" by Locash. After a super sweet first dance (and a few more tears!), guests enjoyed dinner and drinks provided by Magic Foods Catering. Following several heartfelt and moving toasts from friends and family, it was time to get the party started. And with that cue, the party was in the hands of DJ Marcus, who ensured this lively group had great music to show off their dance moves. Guests danced, mingled, enjoyed the night air, sampled mini whoopee pies courtesy of Wicked Good Bakery, and kept the celebration going until the last song.
Amanda & Josh – make sure to keep that stash of chicken nuggets nearby for protection from the ‘hangries’! I hope your life together is filled with much laughter and love, and tons of adventures. xo
