Amber & Paul | 9.22.18

Updated: Mar 19, 2019

When I first spoke with Amber, I felt like I was talking with a friend. Within a few minutes, we were bonding over the fact that she and my husband both multitask by taking phone calls on the way home from work and have birthdays within a few days of each other. The more I heard about the plans for their wedding at Gould Barn in Topsfield, MA, the more I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

During our first meeting, I was in awe by the love they showed each other, as well as how obvious it was that they had a true partnership both in life and in wedding planning! You could tell Paul was as involved in the planning as Amber, and I love when a groom takes part in the planning!

Amber & Paul used every inch of the Gould Barn property (both inside and outside) for their day. Supported by their amazing family & friends, they arrived the evening prior to their wedding to start the set-up process and begin to add beautiful and rustic touches throughout the space. Twinkle lights were hung and tables with custom linens and seasonally inspired centerpieces were put into place.

They had a beautiful Fall day as the backdrop for their wedding. After having gotten ready at the Residence Inn in Danvers, MA, Paul and his groomsmen arrived early to relax before the ceremony began. When Amber and her bridesmaids arrived almost an hour later (with their hair & make-up looking fabulous courtesy of Amber’s cousin), it was all hands on deck to help escort Amber from the car and into the barn while keeping her out of sight of Paul.

The ceremony was short & sweet and completely reflected Amber & Paul's personalities. Their dog, Porter, stole the show as he walked down the aisle to laughter and applause. My favorite moment was when Amber stood on a step stool so she could be eye to eye with Paul during their vows! This was just one instance where the ease and humor of their relationship shined throughout their wedding. Guests cheered as Amber & Paul shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

While the bride & groom took photos throughout the property (courtesy of Steph and Zach Photography), guests lined up at the bar to enjoy a cocktail, grabbed a snack from the popcorn bar, and signed the beautiful photos that served as a guest book.

With the buffet ready go to from American BBQ, it was time to get the party started. Soundz Unique Entertainment pumped up the crowd during the introductions and kept the party going all night long! While guests dined, Amber & Paul visited with their family & friends, cut their gorgeous cake (made with love from friend Alyssa), and as the meal wound down, touching toasts were given by longtime friends Jeff and Judy. After the traditional garter and bouquet toss, guests drank, danced, and partied the night away.

Amber and Paul wanted a day filled with family, friends, and love, and I am beyond thrilled to know they got all that and more. It was truly my pleasure to get to be a part of their day.

Amber & Paul – I hope life brings you everything you could imagine and more. You deserve nothing but the very best in life & love. xo
