Becca & Greg | 6.8.19

There is only one thing I love more than weddings, and that’s dogs! Becca and I spent a good part of our initial conversation conversing about the loves of our lives – Kevin (her golden retriever) and Sammy (my lab mix). Becca is in school in SC so I was excited when she came home for the holidays and we were able to meet in person while she was here.

Despite being super busy with school & life, Becca & Greg’s wedding plans for their day at Camp Calumet were well under way. I loved that their wedding party was on the larger side and filled with family and friends – and of course, Kevin! Becca and Greg were putting together all the little details that would make their day unique and I couldn’t wait to see how the options they chose complimented the space.

On the day of their wedding, my first order of business is always to check in with my bride. I went to Becca’s offsite getting ready location first and found her full of smiles and laughter and gorgeous courtesy of 5 Diamond Salon. After a few last minute updates and a huge hug, I headed over to Camp Calumet in the early afternoon. Becca and Greg were blessed by the New England weather gods and had a beautiful Saturday for their wedding day! Driving through the camp for the first time, I was in awe of all the charm the property had.

As I put the final touches on their ceremony & reception spaces, I took a few minutes to marvel at the views from the deck where cocktail hour would be held. It was a beautiful location and I couldn’t wait for their guests to start arriving to enjoy the space!

The ceremony was filled with personal touches that made it so special: their dog Kevin walked down the aisle, the groomsmen were dressed in their navy uniforms, and the recessional ended with Becca & Greg going under a sword arch!

The weather and views from the deck made cocktail hour perfect and the team from Strange Events kept the drinks flowing. While guests mingled, Sara & Sienna from Sara Elizabeth Photography and Tom & Roger from IhilaFilms took full advantage of the beautiful property and captured photos & video of the beautiful couple.

The reception was lively from the start! The bridal party introductions involved champagne (personally, I think champagne should be included in EVERYTHING), and toasts from Sarah and Graham filled the crowd with laughter. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen was when Becca & Greg cut their cake with a sword! Ben from 2 Clapps DJ had the dance floor packed early and I’m sure there were a lot of guests with aching feet the next day.

Becca & Greg - I know the love & joy I saw on your faces on your wedding day will last a lifetime. I was honored to get to be a part of your day! xo
