Jacqui & Samir | 10.7.18

I was lucky enough to meet Jacqui and her Mom at the Massachusetts Bridal & Wedding Expo in March. She was well into planning her dream wedding at The Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA, but wanted the reassurance on the day of that everything would come together as she had planned. Jacqui is a dream client – she knows exactly what she wants and how to get it. She had fun and unique ideas for her wedding, and I was beyond honored when she chose Breathe Easy Events to help her execute her vision.

Every meeting and email exchange I had with Jacqui was super productive. She was always one step ahead of the game, and sent me emails with updates even before I could send her a reminder. If only I could take her organizational skills and clone them…

On a beautiful Sunday in early October, after getting camera ready at the Cape Ann Marina Resort in Gloucester, MA, Jacqui and her bridal party arrived onsite to relax and finish getting ready in the bridal suite. With her stunning dress from L ’Elite on Newbury Street hanging from the bed frame, jewelry, shoes, and accessories were readied to take their places of honor. Meanwhile, Samir and his groomsmen were downstairs sharing plenty of laughs as we worked to get their boutonnieres in place.

The outside lawn where their ceremony was held had rolling hills and a view of the water in the distance. As the ceremony got underway, the bridal party entered to music provided by Speechless Strings. While everyone looked beautiful, flower girl Alivia and ring bearer Lincoln stole the show when they came down the aisle. Both laughter and happy tears flowed freely during the personal ceremony officiated by the brother of the groom.

After the ceremony, the bridal party took full advantage of the property for photos with Aaron & Nanore from Spagnolo Wedding Photography. As cocktail hour got underway, guests mingled in the Great House while they enjoyed drinks and hor d'oeuvres and took candid pictures for the Polaroid guestbook.

When you are lucky enough to get married at a venue as fabulous as The Crane Estate, you know the wedding will be gorgeous. Jacqui & Samir’s exquisite taste and choices on décor made the place sparkle. Nellie’s Wildflowers created over the top floral arrangements complete with lights, crystals, and greenery that hung from the chandeliers. A pink sequin tablecloth added some glamour to the sweetheart table, while the cake from Montilios was a work of art. During dinner, toasts by Meaghan & Jennifer and Naeem & Jason brought more laughter and tears. And there wasn’t a dry eye in the house (including mine!) as Jacqui danced with her grandfather and told the crowd how special it was for her to have him there.

After dinner, guests moved into the ballroom where they lit up the dance floor with music provided by DJ Pup Dawg. A pink neon sign made sure guests wouldn’t forget their hashtag (#definitelyduren) and the bride & groom gave (read: threw!) t-shirts to their guests which were a huge hit. As the evening wound down, everyone enjoyed late night snacks from Mike’s Pastry before boarding the transportation back to the Cape Ann Marina Resort. I have a good feeling the party continued back at the hotel as Jacqui & Samir continued to celebrate with their family & friends.

Jacqui & Samir – I hope your travels through life are filled with laughter and love. You both have amazing, kind, and loving families and I was so happy to be a part of that for a short while. I hope our paths cross again in the future. xo
