Jen & Ryan | 9.14.19

I knew I liked Jen immediately when during our first Skype conversation she was relaxing on her deck with a glass of wine. Any bride that involves wine in our planning meetings is top notch in my book!

Jen and Ryan were planning a special day at her parents’ home in Wolfeboro, NH. They have an amazing space with a lovely lawn that seems to stretch on for days, and a view of the mountains in the distance that make the skyline spectacular.

The couple spent the morning getting ready at home – being cautious not to see each other before the big moment! Jen was able to enjoy some quiet time with family and friends while Tara & Rachel from His & Hers Hair Company enhanced her natural beauty. Ryan and his groomsmen relaxed upstairs over a game or two of pool.

As is the way with New England weather sometimes, their late summer day had a chill and dampness in the air. But by no means did that dampen any spirits! Guests arrived in the late afternoon via trolleys from Wolfeboro Trolley Company and took in the beautiful details under the tent. They marveled at the 24’ head table adorned with a garland of eucalyptus, roses, and what seemed like endless candles courtesy of The Wild Gyp. With a glass of their favorite beverage in hand, guests then made their way over to the ceremony site. Officiated by Jay Patrick, the ceremony was filled with genuine moments of love and Jen & Ryan’s personalities shined through.

While guests mingled and noshed on delicious appetizers from Magic Foods Catering during cocktail hour, Rachel & Sarah from Rachel Campbell Photography took advantage of the sprawling grounds for bridal party photos. I had the opportunity to watch the magic happen for a few minutes and was delighted to witness a lot of laughter throughout the photo shoot.

Shawn from The Music Man DJ Service had the crowd on their feet as Jen & Ryan were introduced to a huge round of applause! As guests enjoyed filet mignon and lobster ravioli, heartfelt and humorous toasts were given by Chris and Ashley. I laughed out loud as Chris spoke about how Ryan met the love of his life 28 years ago – when they first met! I truly believe friendship between siblings is one of the most special things in the world, and it was clear to me that Ryan & Chris have a special bond. The cutest display of dessert shooters from Cup & Crumb was a huge hit with guests (with flavors like tiramisu and mint cookie how could it not be?!). Parent dances had guests wiping tears from their eyes, but that didn’t last long as the dance party started immediately and lasted all night long as Shawn played hit after hit.

Jen & Ryan - I know your love will last a lifetime as you have amazing examples to guide you with your grandparents (70 years, if we could all be so lucky!) and your parents. Keep laughing, never let a little rain dampen your spirits, and always (always!) bring wine to meetings! xo

Can we talk about the photos below and how fantastic they are? We love Rachel Campbell Photography!
