Jesse and Randy are one of those couples that when you look at them, you can literally feel the love radiating from them. It’s awe-inspiring. I had the pleasure of working with them for well over a year (thanks COVID!) and it was clear throughout that time that in addition to being in love, they are best friends. I knew I liked Jesse a lot from all our interactions, but when Randy showed up to the site visit and was taking notes, he quickly became my favorite groom ever!
As we all know with New England weather, you never know what you are going to get. Jesse & Randy were blessed with the most perfect April day for their wedding – it was sunny and warm, perfect for guests to enjoy the outside festivities. The morning started off with both Jesse & Randy getting ready at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Keene. While Jesse was having her natural beauty enhanced by Heaven Hair Gallery Salon, a team of her cousins (aka magical wedding elves) made their way over to Stonewall Farm to decorate the reception space. Pretty floral centerpieces adorned the tables, and cloth napkins in navy and gray added the perfect pop of color.
As guests arrived for the ceremony, they enjoyed the weather and the chance to catch-up with family and friends they hadn’t seen in a while. Randy took his place of honor up front as the bridal party started their walk. Jesse, escorted by her Dad John, looked radiant as she made her way towards a teary-eyed Randy. The intimate and laughter filled ceremony was a reflection of who they are as a couple. My favorite part had to be when their officiant Stephen said “If anyone has any concerns why this couple should not be wed… well, too bad, it’s too late!”.
Post ceremony, guests were ready to mix and mingle during cocktail hour on the patio, featuring delicious appetizers (including individual charcuterie plates) served up by the team at The Porch and drinks courtesy of the team at Stonewall Farm. The bridal party took advantage of the pretty venue for outdoor photos with talented photographer Scott Hussey before joining their guests.
As guests made their way into the reception space, all of the details that Jesse & Randy had carefully planned were waiting for them. Sitting next to the lovely cake created by Saxy Chef was a beautiful leather bound guest book that awaited messages & advice to the newlyweds. Baskets were filled with masks, hand sanitizer, flip flops, and scarfs for guests to enjoy or take home. And the colorful wedding themed koozies that were on display at the bar soon became a fixture throughout the guest tables.
DJ Kris Kleine had guests on their feet as Jesse & Randy entered the reception space to cheers and applause before sharing their first dance to “Joy of My Life” by Chris Stapleton. Pre-dinner, Jesse’s Dad John, as well as maid of honor Amie and best man Adam, toasted the couple giving guests a glimpse into their relationship. The heartfelt speeches had guests both laughing and getting a bit misty eyed which seemed to be a theme throughout the day. After the amazing dinner was served (the mac & cheese might have been the best thing I’ve ever eaten!), guests looked on as Jesse & Randy cut their cake and shared special dances with their parents. A bit of dancing, a LOT of singing (Kerrie-oake anyone?!?!), and a few trips to the dessert bar rounded out the party. After a year of so much uncertainty, this wedding was one for the record books!
Jesse & Randy – it was truly my honor to be a part of your wedding. Jesse’s Dad John said it best, “Buckle up and strap in for an adventurous ride”. Wishing you the ride of a lifetime. xo
