The initial call I had with Kristen was one of my favorites! When she led with "Have you ever helped coordinate a surprise wedding?" I think I squealed like a 12 year old girl. I remember thinking that if I don't get the opportunity to help with this wedding I might cry. LOL, yes, I'm dramatic, nothing new there!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Whiteface Hollow in Tamworth, NH. The owners John & Jennifer did a fantastic job designing the space. The farmhouse where couples and their wedding party can stay is impeccably designed with every little detail thought of. But the real kicker is the view of the mountains which you can enjoy both from the outdoor space, as well as from the barn. It’s not to be missed! It wasn’t hard for Brian from Brian C. I have to say that Kristen and Brad have amazing taste! In conjunction with Inspiration Rental, they turned the barn into a charming space filled with antiques and little details that represented who they are as a couple. To name a few: golf clubs propped up against the bar, a donut display balanced on wooden barrels, and table runners entwined with twinkle lights.
As guests arrived at the property, they were greeted by Jayden (Brad’s nephew) who handed them a card welcoming them to the wedding (not the surprise party they thought they were attending)! Reactions were priceless and Brad (who was mingling with guests) got quite a few hugs and pats on the back for being able to keep the secret. I cannot wait to see the video captured by the amazing Herring Photography.
The ceremony which was officiated by Kristen’s Dad Bob was filled with laughter and tears. But the tears didn’t last long as guests rolled into cocktail hour and the reception where they dined on delicious BBQ from Smokin’ Rednecks and an assortment of donuts from Cider Bellies. The stalls in the barn made for a perfect bar area where beverages flowed courtesy of Pour Me Bartending. Music provided by Dave from DJ Entertainment NH kept the dance floor hoping all night. If guests wanted to enjoy the outside space, they got to turn on their competitive spirit with a personalized cornhole set and giant Jenga!
Kristen and Brad: it was a pleasure getting to spend time your family on the day of. I will never forget the kindness they showed me! I know your life together will be filled with much love. Keep watching those Friends reruns, telling f*** jokes, and giving each other amazing nicknames. Much love to you always. xo
