Lindsey & Chris | 9.20.20

Updated: Aug 5, 2021

Lindsey and Chris are just one of those couples that make me smile. They are friendly and relatable, and when we met in March I loved hearing about how their plans for their wedding were starting to take shape. I think it’s so special when a couple puts touches of their personality into their wedding. When they told me they would have a ’56 pick-up truck onsite for photos, I fell in love!

On a sunny Sunday in September at their family home in picturesque Hopkinton, NH, Lindsey and Chris transformed their backyard into the perfect wedding venue. With a ceremony site overlooking the trees, a fun cocktail area complete with yard games and a fire pit, and the tented reception, there was no shortage of detail, personality or handmade touches at this beautiful backyard celebration. Beautiful florals from Harrington Flowers were enhanced by vases with faerie lights that made for pretty centerpieces. The gold matchbox cars that served as escort cards were a huge hit with guests and I was secretly thrilled to see that I received one as well :)

By mid-afternoon, guests were anxiously awaiting the big moment. After ensuring that Chris didn’t lay eyes on Lindsey all morning, it was time for the brides show stopping entrance! With soft curls cascading over her shoulders and an elegant lace and tulle dress from Marry & Tux, Lindsey made her way towards her forever. The heartfelt ceremony, officiated by friend Terry, was filled with words that were both sincere and sweet. Guests cheered as Lindsey & Chris sealed their vows with a kiss and Terry ushered them into their new adventure!

While guests got the party started, Ian from Nemesis Photo took full use of that ’56 pick-up truck for photos of the bride and groom with their bridal party and families. The couple’s dog Sophie, so cute wearing her own dress, made sure that she got in on the attention and photos as well!

With the final touches complete, guests took their seats and eagerly awaited Lindsey and Chris to make their big entrance. They cheered as the bride and groom were introduced as the new Mr. and Mrs. and then shared their first dance together. After a heartfelt thank you speech by Lindsey, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner from Georgia’s Northside. The fantastic team from Silver Tie Servers made sure dinner ran smoothly and kept everything clean and tidy. Toasts by maid of honor Haley and best man Matt had guests chuckling as we learned that Chris handles Lindsey’s road rage with poise and was instructed to remember that his wife is always right. Following sweet dances with their parents, Lindsey and Chris cut their cake, a stunning creation from Jacques Fine European Pastries. And with the formalities over, the party was in the hands of DJ Bobby Freedom, who was every bit as lively as guests and couldn’t wait to get the dance party started.

As the night wore on, guests mingled, danced, played some fun games of corn hole, and told stories by the fire pit. Lindsey & Chris’s day was truly a celebration of love and I was honored to have been a part of it.

Lindsey & Chris - As Haley said, you are now with your forever adventure partner. I wish you a life full of adventures, love, laughter, and minimal home improvement projects! xo Pretty pictures below courtesy of Nemesis Photo.
