When you bond with a couple over your love of wings (shout out to The Cherry Tree in Newton - my former employer and a spot they've frequented), you know it's meant to be!
Maddie & Rob have a family home in Alton Bay, NH (gorgeous, by the way) that is on the lake with space for a reception outside under a tent. It was the perfect setting for their wedding day!
When I showed up the afternoon of their wedding, I found a quorum of people outside helping with all manner of details. There were centerpieces being placed, alcohol being chilled (in a canoe - by far the coolest thing I've seen!), and other décor being unboxed. I was extremely lucky to meet family friend Judy who gave me the lay of the land and brought me into the fold. It was clear to me how much Maddie & Rob were loved just by the shear amount of people who were helping make sure their wedding was perfect.
While the bridal party hung out in the house prior to the ceremony, they were entertained by the antics of the flower girl (Evie - an extremely cute 4 year old). The 6pm ceremony (officiated by Maddie's Uncle Mike) was filled with laughter. Despite cooler temperatures, each and every guest had a huge smile on their face as they watched Maddie (gorgeous in a gown from VOWS) and Rob exchange vows.
The walk from the ceremony to the reception was illuminated by torches and upon arrival, guests found their seat by locating their table # on a mini s'mores set (a preview of the late night s'mores station that was a huge hit!). Prior to dancing the night away with music from Silver Arrow Band, guests feasted on an amazing BBQ spread from Blue Ribbon BBQ. The beautiful cake created by Dessert Works was set aside to be served at brunch the next day. Those wanting a sweet need not worry... after a break where guests headed down to lake for fireworks (a surprise element courtesy of Maddie's Moms), they came back to an assortment of delicious pies (and ice cream!) from Petsi Pies.
The entire day was captured by Marisa Lynne Photography and I know Maddie & Rob will have gorgeous images filled with love and laughter that they will cherish.
