Mary & Matt | 6.26.21

Updated: Sep 2, 2021

Mary and Matt make me smile. They are such a fun loving couple and they made my job so much easier with their laid back attitudes, flexibility, and kindness. When we immediately bonded over our love of our respective rescue pups (shout out to OB & Marley, and my Sammy!) during our first conversation, I knew we were going to be a great match.

Mary and Matt tied the knot on a beautiful blue-skied June day at The Barn at Moody Mountain Farm in Wolfeboro, NH. The couple, with some help from their closest family & friends, dreamed up a gorgeous and fun-filled wedding that was truly a testament to their love. As I worked to make sure the barn was decorated to their specifications, the bride and groom kicked off their celebration with a first look that included their fur babies. With the sun glinting off her hair and a huge smile, Mary stood back to back with Matt and handed him a drink (have I mentioned I love these two?!?!) before he turned to see her for the first time in her plunging V-neck lace gown from Alexandra’s Boutique. Matt’s beaming smile when he laid eyes on Mary made this moment unforgettable!

As guests arrived for the ceremony mid-afternoon, they gazed upon the majestic mountains and trees that served as the ceremony backdrop. Officiated by friend Kate, the couple’s touching and lighthearted exchange of vows included a few tears of joy and a lot of heartfelt laughter. With their vows complete and sealed with a kiss, Mary and Matt recessed amidst the cheering of their guests.

Following the ceremony, Mary and Matt enjoyed a drink while Aaron and Nanore from Spagnolo Photography took full advantage of the pretty property for more bridal party photos before everyone joined the cocktail hour festivities. On the lawn outside the barn, guests feasted on appetizers from Vincent Bianco’s Custom Catering and sipped on drinks served up by the friendly team from PR Bartending. Guests also had the opportunity to leave the happy couple love notes on their custom wooden heart guestbook.

Inside the barn the tables were draped with greenery accented with white and pale pink flowers from Silver Lake Floral Design that complimented the rustic nature of the barn perfectly. As guests found their seats, DJ Dan from Double Platinum Celebrations had the music pumping as the bridal party and bride & groom were officially introduced into the party. I wasn’t the only one doubled over with laughter as groomsmen Bill and Andy removed their suit coats to show off t-shirts turned crop tops!

While guests dined on a delicious meal (can we talk about that steak for a second - phenomenal!), they listened to heartfelt and hilarious toasts from maid of honor Julie and best man Steve. Many guests were seen wiping tears from their eyes as Mary’s sister spoke of how after years of differences, Mary was not only her sister, but her best friend. Steve tied in Matt’s love of gambling (hello scratch tickets!) when he said the gamble he took with Mary paid off. *sigh*

Parent dances made way to a completely packed dance floor before dinner was even finished. When guests needed a break, they enjoyed cannoli’s and Italian cookies and make use of the venue’s Adirondack chairs and the lovely evening air. I feel fully confident saying there won’t be a dance floor that compares to the dance floor during Mary & Matt’s celebration -- it was full to the brim, and I may or may not have seen a few guests show off their moves on top of the tables. It was truly a night to remember!

Mary & Matt – I hope your life is filled with laughter, table dancing, and the love of fur babies! Keep showing those around you what true love is. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your special day. xo
